Carl has been involved with dogs most of his life, mainly through hunting. Irene, a cat person, joined in the dog fun right after they got married in 1971. They became involved with AKC Obedience when Irene earned their first title on a German Shepherd in 1978. Since then, with German Shepherds and Goldens, they've earned 11 Utility titles with several additional CDXs mixed in. Carl also has a UDX/OTCH Golden and Irene added another breed, putting a UDX on a Mini Schnauzer. They're happy to say all of their UD dogs have been HIT and HC winners. At present, Irene is back to Shepherds, starting a new pup; and Carl is getting a Lab ready for Utility. When not doing dogs, Irene works at a local bank and Carl never seems to get away from the dogs. He does professional training at a variety of levels, working one on one with about 300 dogs per year. |
