Front and Finish® is a trade magazine for enthusiasts of the canine performance sports. Published by H & S Publications, Inc. since October 1971, we have become a leading publication, highly recognized by those in the dog training field. The content contained in F&F is provided by knowledgeable writers who have a vested interest in canine welfare and associated events. They are highly recognized practitioners collectively representing over 600 years of experience!
Front & Finish® is also highly regarded for the exclusive rating system breakdowns we provide to the fancy. Almost every issue contains rankings of dog/handler teams in competition. We provide these breakdowns based on scores and placements within classes. Many breed clubs use our ratings to provide awards and recognitions to members at annual banquets and functions.
Front & Finish® distributes approximately 8,000 issues of our 8.5 X 11 inch bimonthy magazine. Our current paid subscription base is over 7,200 with approximately 4,900 subscribing to the printed magazine and 2, 300 subscribing to our online issues. Approximately 500 to 800 complimentary copies are also provided. As most readers share subscriptions the number of actual readers could easily be doubled.
Front & Finish® provides all of our subscribers with free access to our web site services. This includes admission to our online libraries where users can view and download back issues of F&F and other articles of interest. Subscribers are also provided with free access to their dog's personalized rating system records. In addition to subscribers, our web site also maintains a large listing of non-subscribing users who independently purchase various articles, reports, and merchandise items.
Reader Profile
Front & Finish® subscribers are primarily interested in Agility, Obedience, and Rally competition. As most enthusiasts are involved in more than one sport, many subscribers compete in other events such as Breed, Earth Dog, Field, Flyball, Freestyle, Herding, Hunt Tests, and Tracking. Through activities such as shows, trials, classes, individual lessons, seminars, and personal contact, our subscribers share information with thousands of pet owners every day.

Discounts & Details
From time to time we run special advertising incentive discounts due to our publication schedule. It's always a good idea to check with us to see if additional discounts are available!
All Advertising Rates are for camera-ready copy. See "Mechanical Requirements" for more information on set-up fees.
Unless preapproved by the editor, all ads must be prepaid when submitted. Ads not prepaid are priced according to the applicable base rate.
An additional 10% Advertising Discount will be applied to indicated rates for editor-approved memorial notices, recognition announcements, or advertising for recognized club events.
An additional 10% Advertising Discount will be applied for orders of four or more insertions of the same advertisement when entire insertion order is prepaid prior to placement of ad. When preapproved by the editor special payment arrangements can be made for those committing to a contractual agreement.
A 10% markup will be applied to indicated rates for special position requests.
All rates are non-commissionable unless preapproved by the editor.
Closing Date
Advertising copy is due in our office on the 25th day of the month, three months prior to the issue date. For example, ads running in the April issue are due in our office on January 25th. We will make every attempt to include late submission requests, however, depending on production, a 15% markup to the Base Rate may apply. If the 25th falls on a weekend or holiday, the closing date will be our next business day. If you are unable to make our advertising deadline, please call for availability.
Payment
Payment must accompany submission of all advertising copy unless a contractual agreement has been made. All advertising copy received without payment will be held until arrangements for compensation are rendered. Foreign accounts must remit payment via Credit Card, Postal Money Order, or Certified Check in U. S. Funds. We accept checks, money orders, and credit cards for domestic accounts.
Cancellations
Cancellations will not be accepted after the closing date.
